Holyfield's resume

Dwight Muhammad Qawi 2x
Carlos De Leon
Ossie Ocasio
Michael Dokes
Riddick Bowe
George Foreman (old but still effective)
Larry Holmes (old but still effective)
Ray Mercer
Mike Tyson 2x
Michael Moorer

Mayweather's resume

Diego Corrales
Jose Luis Castillo 2x
Oscar De La Hoya
Ricky Hatton
Juan Manuel Marquez
Shane Mosley
Miguel Cotto
Canelo Alvarez
Manny Pacquiao

I have to go with Evander on this one. He ducked nobody, has a more impressive overall resume and fought higher quality opposition in general.

Mayweather hasn't "fought" anyone.

Holyfield was an excellent boxer, fighter, and champion.

The Holyfield list is pathetic. Makes me sad.

How does Evander's 10 losses play into this equation?

Neither, Mayweather barely beat a one armed man and ran from him the whole night.

Duran before "no mas", plus he was over the hill by then.

Also, both Sugar Ray's.

Of the two stated by the OP, Holyfield by a landslide.

Having grown up during the time of Ali, Frazier, Holmes, Norton, Foreman, Tyson and Lewis it is my opinion that Holyfield, pound for pound, was not as good.

Ali beat more top ten contenders than any boxer ever before or since.

Um, no.

The list of people that Mayweather has fought is very impressive. And he is undefeated.

I prefer Evander as a fighter and as a human. But Mayweather's accomplishments are very impressive.
