Who's mad about ULL using "Louisiana" name now?

You can say they're desperate/trying too hard/ etc.
However, everything I read online or hear on radio/tv they refer to them simply as Louisiana. They are Louisiana and Louisiana is their brand.
by the way their website is: louisiana.edu
Since this is a state facility, what kind of backlash have they gotten from LSU, Southeastern, Monroe, etc who all have the "at" or "of" or other distinctions in their titles? Seems ULL cockblocked the other state schools.

They can push to be called Louisiana all they want because it doesn't matter. In the end 99.9% of college sports fans will still think LSU when Louisiana is mentioned.

The funnier part is how hard they want this to matter but like somebody else said, nobody thinks of Lafayette when discussing athletics in Louisiana on a national level.

This. No one in their right mind gets legitimately upset over this. The whole thing is childish IMHO. It is fun to see ULL folks get so wound up about it. They always have and always will be 2nd or 3rd fiddle to LSU.

I'm sure it serves a purpose, but they're pretty much a glorified JUCO. I took a couple of courses there right after I got out of LSU just for fun. One of the classes was using an eighth grade text book for the course.
