Can we be absolutely certain he didn't juice? Maybe the steroids didn't work. I think it's safer just to keep everyone born after 1920 out of the HOF.

Griffey is a no doubt Hall of Famer and it's weird that certain voters feel that even with that honor, certain players aren't worthy of first ballot.. Personally, if I believe someone is worthy, then I vote them in day one.. I don't get the ideal that the hall has different classes of players.. Your either worthy or not..

Humanity is filled with situations completely devoid of logic and common sense and nothing captures that better than MLB Hall of Fame voting.

I don't know if anybody has ever been unanimous so there is always somebody who doesn't vote for someone because Mays, Williams, Aaron, etc weren't

Doesn't make sense but that's why, baseball history nerds are odd

So you thought he should have been unanimous even though injuries tanked him in Cincinnati? 99.3% oversold him by about 10%. I don't think he ever even played in a world series.

In 22 years in baseball he actually only made the playoffs 3 times. It's not fair to hold it against him though that he played on a lot of shitty teams, it isn't like it was his fault those mariner teams didn't get over the hump. But hey if you want to think that David Eckstein is a better player because he has more team accomplishments then that's on you

I think you need to go push someone up the stairs, get laid, or eat a snickers!!! You got some serious pent up hostility today; saying anyone without Jr. on their ballot should be killed and saying anyone that thought Birdman deserved Best Picture need to have bad things happen to them.

No one's ever been unanimous... not Ruth, not Mays, not Aaron. At griffey's level that's whom you're comparing him too

He had the highest percentage of votes in history. I Ruth, Cobb, Mays, Williams or Musial didn't get unanimous selection, I don't think anyone should. I'm sure that's what the writers who vote against Jr. thought, as well.

But, man, what a great player in every aspect.
