Ryan definitely had the better year. Looking like the Payton aspect of the Sean-Drew connection is more important than we thought. This is actually good news for Saints fans because Sean Payton has a lot longer left on the sidelines than Drew does on the field.

3/10

Call me when Ryan wins a super bowl while beating three hall of fame QB's.

oh boy...

Matt Ryan's team has done significantly better. He is also playing with a significantly better defense and an intact coaching staff leading to a much more stable team where he does not have to play hero ball to try and make something happen nearly as much as Brees. With as much as Falcons fans like to bring up Brees' interceptions on the year he only had 5 more than Ryan...and also had 11 more TD passes and 400 more yards...without having 2 wideouts with near the talent of Roddy and Julio.

I'd be willing to bet that the remaining 30/30 teams in the NFL would take Brees over Ryan to be their qb for a season.

No fricking shite.

Brees is the better QB, but Ryan may have had a better season (only looking at individual stats).

Call me when Brees beats 3 HOF QB in a playoff. Kurt Warner isn't a HOF'er.

Not really a fair discussion to have with how much more Brees was asked to do playing with one of the worst defenses ever from a statistical stand point and with the interim in charge for half the year and the interim-interim the other half

I'd rather Ryan than a Payton-less Brees in most situations.

But at the same time Harbaugh is a QB guru too so I'd take Brees for the Niners over Ryan since we've seen Brees tear the house down in the right system. Haven't really seen the same level out of Ryan.

Why because he got to 3 SB? Okay lost 2 of them one he shouldn't have and then the beginning and mid point of career is awful. He is Terrell Davi like, Has 6 years and people think he is one of the best.

dude...Brees with Harbaugh as a HC and targets of Crabtree, Moss, and Vernon Davis with THAT Oline and Running game and a killer defense could make a legit run at 16-0.
