I'm just saying if we are considering soccer a sport...

So they are equal

Are people really not considering soccer a sport?

I have a hang over and just having some fun. I will watch it if it's on and that's about it, but I do respect it. I'm huge into eventing which is another underated sport here in the states.

Just seems like the horse is the one doing all the work.

That's fair to say and when u get up to the star events u really just have to have DEEP pockets or sponsered by the right people. All that said, a rider has to have a lot of skill and experience to break away from others. These riders also train 7 days a week and usually ride multiple times on different horses in a day
Just look up Olympic cross country
That's the exciting part of eventing
Lastly at the olympics it is set one level lower then what the best compete at

If golf was a sport, I'd agree.

Tiger trumps all in the trophy case argument.

One is unquestionably the greatest of all time at his sport. The other is not the GOAT at his sport (not yet, at least). Both are currently in their prime.

I'm going with Messi. What did he have, 87 goals or something? That'd be like LeBron averaging more than Wilt's 50 PPG season. Messi is playing at an insane level.

Not really. Winning the World Cup in soccer is much bigger than winning the Olympics in basketball.

Other than the fact that it's once every four years (and he clarified that was in fact his point), there's no comparison between the two events.
