Joe Thomas: 5 First-Team All-Pro Selections
Demarcus Ware: 4 First-Team All-Pro Selections
Antonio Gates: 3 First-Team All-Pro Selections
Calvin Johnson: 3 First-Team All-Pro Selections
Adrian Peterson: 3 First-Team All-Pro Selections
JJ Watt: 3 First-Team All-Pro Selections

ETA all-pro selections

Will probably be Watt when all is said and done.

I know he's not the best in the eyes of the media and the fact he's on o lineman but Andrew Whitworth. Dude has been a beast his entire career, as a bengal.

Do you truly believe that andrew whitworth is THE BEST active player that won't win a SB? Like...of ALL the players who currently have not won a SB, you're picking AW as the best of the best?

Oh nvm, LSU fan. Carry on.

So, in a thread titled

quote:

Who is the best active NFL player...

you just throw out a name, who you admit isn't the best, just for giggles. got it. Just seems kinda stupid. If there was a thread called "who is hte best QB in the NFL right now?" I surely wouldn't say "it's not matt stafford, but matt stafford is my answer". See how that sounds?

Peyton Manning because Rex Grossman was really the starting QB for the Colts.

J.J. Watt
By far the best player who hasn't won a SB, so he is the only possible answer.

Adrian Peterson is probably better. Even at a position of less value.

I mean, he didnt allow a sack this entire season. He graded out by Pro Football Focus as the 3rd best overall Offensive tackle last season and finished very high again this year. Also graded out as Pro Football Focus All-Pro at Guard in 2010. He is a 1st team All-Pro this season, a 2nd team All-Pro last season and has two other pro bowl seasons. It's not out of reach to say that he's one of the very best lineman in the league and has been for a long time now.

Joe Thomas has 5 first-time all-pro selections.
