Which was worse as a fan: Losing side of SBXLVIII or 2012 BCSNCG?

It's been a while but now that time has passed I'd like to ask this question: which was worse as a fan?
For me, the actual Super Bowl game was far, far worse.
However, the overall circumstances of the NCG made the outcome worse as an LSU fan.
I'm especially interested to hear from the few, like myself, who are both Broncos and LSU fans.
Thoughts?
...I'm not trying to exclude anyone, curious on all thoughts regardless of your teams.

Was live at the LSU game and I hate Alabama a lot more than Seattle. After the safety in the Super Bowl I knew it was another 21-0 type game and stopped caring

The BCS National Championship game was much worse.

Both were excruciating, and I was on the arse end of both as a fan.
The BCS game was horrible, obviously, but LSU still technically had a chance until the middle of the 4th quarter. The defense held up well enough. But, like I said, overall it was worse. No one questioned whether Seattle belonged there. There was no former coach, the game was not in Colorado, etc.
The SB was over on the first play of the game. It was an epic arse kicking in every phase.

Nothing tops getting blanked in your home state by a team you already beat.

How can a real fan just 'stop caring' after one play?

People saying that 1/9 was worse had forgotten that LSU was still in it until like midway through the 4th quarter. Denver was done after the start of the 2nd half.

That's what I'm saying. Both were dominate performances by the winners, but it was 0-15 with 4:37 left in the game, technically LSU had a chance with under 5 mins to go.
It was 15-0 Seattle with 12 mins left in the second quarter. Super Bowl was a complete arse kicking from literally the first play. The entire 4th quarter was garbage time.

Super Bowl for me. The way our defense played in the NCG I had hope for a long time we would wake up offensively. Peyton and company couldn't get anything going and they were the best offense in history.

As a fan of LSU and the Saints, of course the BCS championship was far worse for me personally.
But the way the "best offense ever" got absolutely just destroyed in the SUPER BOWL from a netural perspective way waaaaaaay worse. I mean what was it, 40 something before the Broncos got a single garbage TD?
LSU still held Bama to all FGs until the waning minutes when Bama scored a garbage TD. Our offense led by a completely inept Jordan Jefferson was the reason behind that.
When Peyton Manning gets wrecked like he did with 150 million people watching....uh yeah.

Fair point. "Better/Worse" is a subjective criteria, and I realize that.
For the reasons you listed, that's why I think the SB game itself was far worse.

What about being a Denver and Auburn fan?
It sucked, BTW...
