I can't quite remember from last year but how do they decide which teams go to the New Year's Eve bowls (which this year is the Chick fil A and Fiesta Bowls, I think).

For example, is one of those bowls already slotted to get the #1 and #4 seeds?

This teams being way overrated. I love Harbaugh, but they're still another year or two away from competing for a national championship. This year they have to travel to both Columbus and East Lansing. They'll lose both of those games.

Where do people put Houston on their lists? They play both OU and Louisville this year, both teams who people have picked to be good/win conferences this year (I've seen some Louisville hype and a lot for OU)

Is Greg Ward back? If so, they can really make some noise come Playoff voting time

I'm just pessimistic at the offense at the moment. Cameron apparently wants to put Spread concepts into the offense which, I don't think he's comfortable with implementing. Harris has GOT to step up his performance as a player and field general. I will say, if they utilize him like a Spread QB, that could be a major difference. Defense is also a question mark given that it's a new system and will take time to get right. I know there's a lot of high expectations and optimistism around the program, but I'm just not feeling it, and that's ok I think.

I'm projecting losses to Wisky, Ole Miss, and Bama. Florida as a possible loss as well

I understand the logic you are using but how do you come to a conclusion of 8-4? you stated that its your lack of faith in Les Miles and the X's and O's which is valid. The disconnect I'm having is how you are predicting a season on par with the 2 worst seasons that Les Miles has ever had in his 10 years in BR? We have WAY to much talent coming back for that prediction to make any sense at all.. basically your saying that although he has won 9 or more games 8 out of 10 years mostly with less talented teams ('07 and '11 are clearly better but not the rest), He will all of a sudden become a coach that will lose 4 because he cant coach. Makes no sense.

I believe the team that finishes number 1 gets the bowl that's closest to their place, but I could be 100% off and saw that in a dream or something lol.

We'll know a shite ton after the first weekend -

Oklahoma v. Houston
LSU v. Wisconsin
UCLA v. Texas A&M
UNC v. UGA
Alabama v. USC
Clemson v. Auburn
Notre Dame v. Texas
Florida State v. Ole Miss

Should be easy enough for Clemson to rebound after a week 1 loss

This is their chance to clinch the PAC. I just don't trust Mora.

I also don't see a strong field in the PAC 12. Any team that wins will have to have 1 or less losses and if they make a playoff, their exit will look like Michigan State's.

I think Michigan's QB situation is unsettled. The season should be a lot like last year. Probably 9-3.

People are really buying into the hype. The team had zero offense last year. Browning is short, Ross is a gimp and the offensive line isn't championship caliber.

No team from the PAC is NC worthy.

I am not really high on the PAC this year. There's a lot of unproven assumptions like Rosen and Browning taking that proverbial jump in production. Oregon is banking on the defense's deficit being coaching. Stanford is assuming they can replace a shite ton of OL/DL starter and a qb.

This is one year where I sit back and watch the mayhem. The one team that could sneak in and win this is Utah. They are loaded in the trenches and they weren't particularly good at the skill spots where they lost their starters.

UCLA has the best qb bar none in the PAC. That usually means a lot in our league. WSU can't keep their qb upright, so Falk would be my second choice.

I am not sold on Bowning. Prukop really looked tentative in the spring game. He's definitely not like Vernon Adams.

Curious where you see UCLA falling short.

im not convinced we can fill in the holes on our defense. we are really going to need vanderdoes so we can stop the run and then on top of that, we are replacing people on our offensive line. i think USC is the team to beat in the south but its wide open. i guess i should have changed my comment to "last years team was the best team mora had and probably had a legit chance to make a run to the playoffs but got hit with injuries" and this team isnt the same
