LSU will lose to Bama, and then stop caring.
Pretty much like every year lately.

I keep hearing the whole "returning starters" bit. Yes, that's important to have guys on the field that's been there before but I'm an X's O's guy and to me that's where this team struggles year in and year out. What's their clear plan of attack on offense? Do I want to run an Spread Option offense with 11 personnel as the base look or do I want to be a traditional style (hate saying pro style because it's not) with 21 personnel and play ball control? On defense, you have that luxury to run 4-3, 3-4 because you need to utilize a lot of looks to stop these spread systems. Also, this team has always had the mindset of stopping the run first and be stout on the backend of the field.

If Rosen takes a big leap, this is possible
Also, UCLA and aTm play in week one, so one of them (probably aTm) will be knocked out right away.

I mean that's 6 teams from only 3 conferences. You have to have OU or a west coast team in there simply for the fact that we have seen non-conference champs dropped in favor of conference champs with similar resumes.
However, this year you will have the loser of the OU/OSU game having to run the table to make it likely. Those 2 teams may have the best shot to lose twice and make it (assuming 1 of those losses is to the other)

if AU beats this team first game, i would think their hopes are dashed, and AU's springboards up to their place.

Clemson is going to beat the brakes off of Auburn. It will be ugly.

You don't have to be a coach to do research

I don't know if Clemson can go two years in a row without clemsoning.

We lost 3 games last year and Harris was throwing the ball at the ground, I think we do one game better at least

I don't agree with the above too much, but do you think FSU would beat Houston in 2016 if they played? Houston has the same team back who wore out FSU (albeit in a game that didn't really matter to FSU)

Well considering this is the first time they've ever had a QB situation where it isn't a complete disaster experience-wise, they've had to have vanilla offense.
You get Brandon Harris in his 3rd year of the offense, with a great O-line, the best Running back in the country (and LSU history), along with incredibly talented receivers, and a very talented, athletic and experienced defense.
I just don't see how they lose 4 games with this much talent and seniority.

Michigan should NOT be considered contender as long as QB situation is still up in the air.
You can't win the big one without a QB

OU vs Houston should be a great game.

Where do people put Houston on their lists?
They play both OU and Louisville this year, both teams who people have picked to be good/win conferences this year (I've seen some Louisville hype and a lot for OU)

That was a factor, along with Maguire playing with a fractured ankle. That game meant squat.
Every playmaker except Ramsey is back. You never know with a RS Fr. qb, but Francois adds a different dimension to the offense.

I actually think FSU is going to be really good this year. At least we will be able to get an idea week 1.
