I want to say tennis or soccer, but I guess certain football positions could be up there as well.

Boxing has to be up there.

And wrestling.

Soccer and hockey are good answers.

Aussie rules football.

Easily basketball. Vast majority of NBA players are athletic freaks

Tennis, soccer, and even basketball I would all say are at the top because they require you to constantly be moving. Hockey too for that matter.

Also...boxing.

If you've ever done it, you'd know.

Soccer players run about 7-8 miles per game, that's tough to argue against.

Boxing is pretty exhausting as well

I recently bought a heavy bag for kickboxing. It's amazing how quickly it gasses you.

Boxing. I'm in fairly good shape and three good minutes on a heavy bag is exhausting imo.

ETA:

And yeah Boxing...

God, you can be a really good in shape young H.S. football player and hit the bag for a few minutes and feel like dying.

Forgot about boxing. I have never done it, but can only imagine how tiring that is.

Depends on how you define fitness. A guy like Eliud Kipchoge can run under 4:40/mile for 26 miles, but would struggle to bench press his body weight multiple times. Elite NFL linemen can put out some really impressive standing long jump numbers and wreck shite in the weight room but don't have a ton of cardiovascular fitness.
