Where would you rank Mike Matheny among MLBs current managers?

He's not all that great in-game, but he's good at getting the most out of his players. And he seems to be a really good dude.

He doesn't argue with the refs as much as I'd like him to. He should've taken a tougher stance on the ball hit out of bounds last night by Addison Russell.

why? it was a fair ball

Whats the point in having your guy on the mound tossed and then getting yourself tossed and not able to manage your pitchers that'll fill in?

Baseball manager is one of the hardest positions to qualify for value. I think the Cardinals have a strong organization with great culture from top to bottom and that plays a much bigger role than the managers.

+1. Here's a better question. Where does John Mozeliak rank among MLB GMs? I would put him at #2 behind Brian Sabean.
