I think (?) his point is that a close win over 4-1 Indiana is looked at negatively, while a close win over say Arkansas is heralded as a tough fought battle

I think this gets overlooked. They're the best team on every opponent's schedule by far, and will get challenged often. That's what's different from them and Florida State last season.
