Was thinking about this last night while watching whatever that was. Seriously I can't think of an awesome back and forth nail biter on a Thursday night. They're all just a blur

Yea who didn't enjoy the Pats/Chiefs game? That was great entertainment, Hunt was a beast in that game.

Meh, that really didn't come down to the end. Wouldn't consider that a good game. Plus it was the season opener so both teams had time to prepare

This definitely plays a part. The NFL are massive hypocrites. They claim to care about player safety, yet force teams to play on short rest. Thursday games suck most of the time.

Should have added that wasn't a season opener or two teams coming off a bye.

It is too short of a recovery for such a physical sport

The TNF games need to end.
I'm ok with leaving the kickoff game but then the Saints get a Monday night road game and have to turnaround and play a well rested Pats team.

Conditions:
- Thursday night football
- not season opener or coming off a bye
- great game
- has to come down to the wire

But yeah, I'm all for scrapping the TNF games. They normally aren't good and I would rather them add the TNF matchup to the 325 time slot.

I thought the OP was done, but this reply gives him wiggle room.

I'm on Team OP, the opener shouldn't count.

True, should've prefaced by stating not a Season Opener. Why aren't teams given a bye week before their Thursday night game? That's the baffling part

Not sure about NFL games, but college Thursday night games have high potential for great upsets over the years

Technically last night's game came down to the wire. The last drive had a chance to decide the game. Was it an entertaining game? No, not at all. QB play was terrible, O line play was horrific, running games were non existent. But the truth is the game was a one possession game the entire time, so there was at least some suspense to it

Most suspenseful thing was seeing if the Bengals could score a TD.
