If the NFL keeps complaining about its ratings then they need to start giving us better prime time matchups bc so far this year we've had

Keenum vs Gabbert
Cutler vs Wentz
Hoyer vs Prescott
Brisett vs Osweiler

Then tonight, they slap us with the great Andy Dalton vs Ryan Tannehill matchup I've been waiting all week for.

Who does everyone have tonight? In a game of which shitestain QB could shite the bed on national tv, id say tannehill +8 would be the safer pick.

NFL has long standing TV contracts that pre date the NFL network. They get last pick of the games basically

Back in my day men died on the field! Now it's all about who is kneeling and who is supporting the queers!

I wonder what the people who played football in the 30s thought about football in the 70s. You think they thought they were "pussifying" the game?

"A helmet?! What a bitch. Ruining the sport."

Do you as a fan not wanna watch decent matchups? Brees vs Ryan was cool that was an entertaining game, lots of points were scored. Teams like the dolphins, bears, rams, niners have no business in primetime games, that defeats the purpose of the word primetime

Of course I would rather watch decent matchups. But with 6 teams in primetime games every week, and with a bunch of shite teams, shitty matchups are inevitable.

ETA: And it would be a mistake for the NFL to guess which teams will be strong/entertaining and which teams will be shite/boring in the offseason.

I think every team gets one TNF game per year. NBC might as well set up HQ in Dallas for SNF, and I'm not sure why MNF matchups have been so bad over the last few years.

I would be fine with doing away with Thursday night games, though. It doesn't feel right having NFL midweek.

How would you organize the schedule? ETA: Keep in mind that schedules are released in April.

Tannehill looks like someone who played WR for most of his college career.

Denver-Carolina started the year
Jets Bills in week 2 was just fine.
Only week three has sucked so far.

Of the 6 teams in the primetime this week (Bengals, Dolphins, Steelers, Chiefs, Giants, Vikings), 5 are playoff contenders.
