What would you do? Cubs playoff tickets

I am a long time season ticket holder with seats in the Terrace Box area. I have been moved to the bleachers as my plan is only for 20 games and MLB takes my seats. I plan to go to the NLDS and NLCS is the Cubs go that far. As to the World Series, I am thinking about selling my 4 tickets as I could profit by quite a bit. The bleacher seats are listed on Stub Hub by others for $3500 each. I understand that they may not actually sell at that price but I only paid $250 for the WS tickets. What would you do?

As to the World Series
Wouldn't worry too much about that

That depends, would you get more joy out of 3500 dollars or going to the World Series? Whatever that answer is, go with that.

I might add that I only get tickets to one game in each round

If you're a season ticket holder and you sell tickets to a championship series, then you should have your season tickets revoked.

Especially if you're a fricking Cubs fan.
But I'd worry about the WC first

Hard enough getting out of wild card, but for a clinching Cubs victory in the World Series I would sell for as much as you can. Then again, if it's something you want to see live in your lifetime keep them and cherish the memory.

Sounds like you should be a white sox fan

Couldn't you go to one of the games and sell the other(s)?

If I have a chance to see the Cubs in the World Series I would go. Sell the other tickets, they might have 3 home WS games.

You go to the game.
I could have profited $3k on my Sunday round at the Masters tickets couple years back. Went and have never thought twice about the decision.
The experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity that's invaluable.
Flip side, I was broke college kid and sold my 07 BCS national title game tix for $1,500 profit, and regret that decision to this day.
ETA- as a huge Cubs fan, I don't know if a blank check could make me miss a WS game if I had the opportunity.

I couldn't see the memory of 3500 bucks out lasting the memory of seeing the Cubs play in the World Series in person.
At the end of the day when it's all said and done all you really have to look back on your life is memories. The memory you get from a playoff game will last longer than the memory of $3500 in your wallet.

I could understand thinking about selling title tickets if you were a fan of a team that has won many times giving you a chance to go previously like the Yankees or Lakers and had been but the Cubs?
Are you kidding me? Do you even know anyone that was alive the last time the Cubs were in the World Series?

Id sell the wild card series and use that money for next years season tickets.. I did that for LSU's last National championship game and was very happy afterwards

The experience would be one in a lifetime for sure. The kind of thing you'd tell your grandkids about until they were sick of hearing about it.
I too would have tickets to a game if it comes to pass because I'm part of a full season ticket group, and I would be going to that game.
But, the fact that the Cubs are the Cubs and the fan base is what it is, the prices they'd be going for on the secondary market would be obscene. I can see long suffering old arse Cubs fans just opening up the checkbook and handing over a chunk of their kids inheritance. I honestly think it'd be one of the most expensive tickets in sports history (especially if they got to a point where they could clinch at Wrigley).
ETA: I was in the bleachers for the first game of the 2003 NLDS, and it was about the most fun I've ever had at a live sporting event. My girlfriend at the time paid $700 a piece for them.

I am Cubs bleacher season ticket holder (60 game plan) and get two games each round.
I personally am not a Cubs fan, but I love baseball and going to Wrigley. I make about 4 series a year since I now live in DC, but my in laws who still live there go along with friends.
And if by some small chance the Cubs get to the WS, I do plan to attend one of the games.
But I will be selling the early rounds hoping to pay for my season tickets
