Lol Kobe would drive himself crazy as a coach. He would expect all of his players to have his work ethic and eat/sleep/breathe basketball like he did.

First move, lobby to sign Kobe Bryant to a max contract.

Second move, put Kobe in the starting lineup, carve out 38 minutes and 45 shots for him.

Profit.

I see a lot of turnovers. Passing the ball to Kobe standing on the sidelines would give the other team the ball.

kobe would make a great coach and in the back of my mind, i'm expecting him to be named the next laker coach

he would make a great coach the same reason larry bird was a really really good coach. he didn't excell in the NBA because he was a far superior athlete toe veryone. he worked his arse off, understands the game at a level superior to most players and even other coaches and no one will ever outwork kobe as a head coach

it is a tad racist. Thibbs the first thing people say about him "his work ethic" / "is there anyone in teh NBA that watches more videos than thibbs" yet a black player who works just as hard and knows just as much about the game somehow would make a shite coach. it's not like thibbs is a great people person either.

yes, Kobe Bryant.

Kobe has openly coached a few games in his career. I'm pretty sure he's undefeated when stepping into that role. In the 2009 WCF, for instance, he stepped in and helped Jackson coach after the series tied 2-2.

With that said, I think he has admitted he would not have the patience to coach long term.

with that said, you'd have to give kobe some non rookies lol. there is no way russell doesn't end up on a one way ticket out of town within the first 10 games if kobe is the coach lol. kobe doesn't have the patience to deal with talent that young. but to say "he will make a horrible coach" is absurd. if you told me kobe was the next miami heat head coach i think it would be a great move.

he excelled in the NBA because he was a far superior athlete AND he worked his arse off. Maybe you're too young to remember, i don't know, but Kobe wasn't a lottery pick out of high school for no reason. He was an extraordinary athlete when he was younger. Obviously, his work ethic and understanding of the game allowed him to still be effective as he got older, but Kobe was absolutely one of the better athletes in the game during his prime. His work ethic is what allowed him to translate his superior athletic ability into being one of the all-time greats.

Coaching is the main issue with the Lakers. The Buss family makes the Jones family look like geniuses. Jim and Jeannie need to hire a basketball GM.

A lot of snitchin that Shaq has affairs too, and Russell swoops in with the video to prove it.

As opposed to their non-basketball GM, Mitch Kupchak? I'm not sure what you're suggesting.
