I'd say 13 years ago when Lennox Lewis whipped Tyson at the Pyramid in 2002.

This was a terrible boxing match, but a incredible hyped boxing match. Last great hyped fight for sure.

Still have good matches in 2000s, just not as many by the very best, nor in marquee fights, and less in the 2010s than early 2000s, plus none in HW divisions with Klitschko dominance since Lewis retired..
Morales/Barrera and Ward/Gatti and Vazquez-Rafael Marquez Trilogies, Corrales/Castillo, JMM-Diaz, JMM-Pac..
So glad to have been four rows back for Holyfield-Bowe 2..feel like I witnessed some of the HW div's last great fighting.
Lennox and Wlad just sat dominant vs the mediocre field for the last 20 years..
Without an exciting parity filled or dominant KO HW champ..Boxing suffers without KO power.
