I haven't seen anything online. Was he even hurt? Seems like anything less than a torn ACL the guy would want to play when his team is collapsing like that. And the fact that he ended up back in at the end of the game made it look really weird.

His left leg got caught up and he landed awkwardly on his knee. I'm sure he was held out because they were up by 10, thought it was over, and didn't want to risk further injuring him.

FIFY. What a dumpster fire in the last 34 seconds. After every turnover I thought, "there is no way this can happen AGAIN." I guess UNI thought the same.

There was plenty time to make a substitution as the lead shrunk.

I've never seen anything like that. At one point you just knew they were going to turn it over so I was hoping they would just throw it to the far end of the court to burn some time.

If the kid who got trapped throws it to the other end of the court with 5 seconds instead of trying to throw it off the leg of the TAMU guy, UNI wins.

But this is textbook why you have at least two people with experience practice inbounding in press situations.

Is there an 8 second or 10 second half court rule in college? They could have just held it out then threw it across half court every play.

The fact that they got rid of the 5 second rule means he absolutely could have just held the ball the whole time until they either fouled him or called 10 seconds. But the panic set in and he fell for the same thing the kid under the basket did earlier.

He wanted to go back in but trainer wasn't letting him until overtime. Probably just hoping they would win in regulation and then do MRI today.

5 second rule still applies if the player is just holding the ball, they only eliminated it if a player is dribbling.
