As explained by a dude named Paddy Holohan, because he has to be that Irish, MacGregor has a better chance because he no longer has to worry about kicks, elbows, submissions, and all he has to do is worry about two fists. Also explains how Conor is the better puncher, how his stance is perfect against Floyd, and how Conor's left is going to be the difference.

Or at least that's what I think he said, but every fifth word sounded like potato.

Anyways, watch the video, does he make good points?

I know pretty much zero about boxing technique and all that so I'm not going to act like it.

But I'm pretty sure that's one of McGregor's buddies that fights with him all the time. So TFWIW.

All of these explanations are about how Connor is not a terrible boxer. Not how he can get clear shots against the greatest defensive fighter of our generation.

The only way Floyd loses this fight is if he throws it. This is the best year for boxing in a decade and it has nothing to do with this fight.

Lets just get this shite show over with and get the Spence-Thurman fight on the calender.

Oh wow, now my mind is changed...doesn't have to worry about kicks? Or the other things that made him most effective in MMA? Awesome!

Hey Paddy, what about all the other world class boxers (of which Conor isn't) who didn't have to worry about kicks and chokes too?

What about them and not being able to touch Mayweather. What about the guys who spent their entire lives doing one thing while Conor spent his time being all mixed.

And they couldn't touch Floyd...you know, the world class Pros who didn't have to worry about kicks and chokes...

But hey, Conor has had 6 months not to worry about kicks and chokes...he must be untouchable by now.

I think Conor has a much better chance then people are giving him. Conor has every advantage except skill level. I don't care how skillful you are when somebody is younger, has more reach, stronger, and is much bigger by about 20 pounds is going to give you a lot of trouble.
Conor also is coming in with a karate style which Floyd isn't used to fighting. Floyd has also been sitting out for awhile and he's 40 years old. Floyd might not have his heart in the fight because he's fighting for money. Conor is fighting for much more.

Agreed. Connor is a big dude. If he can corner Floyd, I think Floyd is fricked

That's like saying well since the Tom Brady isn't a threat to run, like QBs on many college teams, and the offense is much more traditional personnel wise (again compare to college), a college team should do OK against the Patriots. Nevermind their experience and complexity within their offense.

In other words, it's an ignorant simplification.

I just remember watching the bio video about McGregor waiting on one of the press conferences. I seem to remember that guy was in it a lot. But I could just be mistaking for another Irishmen so maybe I am racist

McGregor never had to really worry about kicks from Diaz, yet got peppered constantly by punches from him in both of their fights.

McGregor has never faced anyone w/ Floyd's speed, accuracy, and defense.

I'm a big fan of both of these guys, but IMHO, McGregor has a less than 1% chance of winning. He will get popped constantly, especially after the 3rd, then he will gas.

I think he is taller than that. Floyd had shoes on at the weigh in and McGregor was still looking down at him. Also, his weigh in weight was 153 but he will be back up near 170 tomorrow

Conor knows that.
This fight is about round 2.

Conor must make this fight.
If conor cant rough him up early, its
a boxing lesson.

Everyone keeps trying to come up with reasons why McGregor has a chance, any chance.

He doesn't. He has ZERO chance. Not a puncher's chance, not a chance because of Mayweather's age, not a luck-of-the-Irish chance.

No. Chance. Just accept it.
