The Gottlieb thread got me wondering what everyone else actually likes b/c I agreed with most people in there that he is terrible. For some reason thought it was unusual to dislike him.

For me:

1. SVP
2. Dan Patrick
3. Cowherd

I can be entertained by M&M for about 30 minutes some days but others are just terrible imo.

So, who does the MSB like?

I always enjoy Chris "Mad Dog" Russo. Why don't you turn off the ESPN Radio chief and tune into Mad Dog Sports Radio on XM.

Steve Czaban
SVP
Dan Patrick

Czaban is the best and a much better option than Mike and Mike in the morning. Dan Patrick is a great interviewer but I can not listen to him for too long or I get sick of him.

SVP (they always give LSU love)
Cowherd (blowhard, but at least he's entertaining)
Mike & Mike (vanilla, but perfect morning cup of coffee info)

Dan Patrick I find snarky, unctuous, and boring to boot.

Sports radio is so cringeworthy. I feel a lot of times, local is a lot better than national.

I think one that gets overlooked, because it's on so late, is the Freddie Coleman show.

I can't take too much of that voice, but Stephen A had him on right after that rant he did about the patriots inflated ball issue before the superbowl and it was radio gold.

Jim Rome is the only one I make it a point to turn the radio on/switch the station.

I don't listen to national sports radio shows. Most of them are mediocre and cover topics that I don't care about. For me, the best radio sports talk show host I've listened to is Tony Kornheiser. Recently, I've had to go down to DC for work and caught his show on the radio and he was absolutely fantastic. I know he had a national show but I didn't remember him being this good. He was funny and witty and it was interesting listening to his opinion on a variety of topics.

Because that's what I prefer . I occasionally listen to Mad Dog but it's not in my top 3. Apparently I'm not alone.
