Obviously not a good idea to make these tweets but should he have been suspended without pay for them?

quote:

Black people beating whites when a thug got shot holding a gun by a black officer haha s--t cracks me up! Keep kneeling for the anthem!" Clevenger tweeted on Thursday. "BLM is pathetic once again! Obama is pathetic once again! Everyone involved should be locked behind bars like animals,” another tweet from his account read.

probably not, especially after nothing happened with isaiah crowell, but its the world we live in and the padres can handle issues with their employees any way they see fit

He'll file a grievance and get most of his pay back, but it will be kept quiet, and they might even give him all of his cash, and sign a Hush paper.

No way this would pass a grievance hearing. You can't just do whatever you want, there are labor laws, and laws per CBA.

Seattle ought to have the freedom to respond to its employee's behavior.

Yes.

I don't think what he said was wrong but I'm pretty sure the reason they suspended him is because he said "like animals." It's absurd that people conflate a common phrasing with a racist remark but that is unfortunately the world we live in.

The question wasn't "are they allowed to suspend him?" The question is do you think these tweets are suspension worthy.

Dude is white trash and a lousy player to boot.

He is replacement level and not worth any sort of distraction or negative sentiment.
