i've been reading up on some early draft takes over at Walter Football. I bring this up because in his NFL Picks column he's been terrible trying to give handicap advice on spreads this year.
he's taking it like a champ though and sort of running with the joke.
might want to fade whatever he's been trying to sell.
I've bet on a few over/unders this year but no spreads. I do most of my gambling in DFS. DFS sort of has some skill involved I think but there is definitely a gambling aspect involved also.
I like reading this thread though. Its actually helped me at times when considering players to pick on the short slate tournaments. The Monday-Thursday combos I mean.. more so on the Monday Night game b/c you are basically dart throwing on what might happen in the Thursday game with not as much material to gather a strong opinion on what to do with that particular game.
for example: last week I got on some Balitmore players, mainly their defense, Buck Allen, Kamar Aiken, and cashed out nicely in each lineup I submitted. Nothing big but a decent return. Saw how the public was fading the Ravens and figured it couldn't hurt to try some of their players and it happened to work for that particular week.

10.5 now, but thats not the "true" line. They like to adjust the higher NFL lines even higher to make teasers more difficult to hit.
If you click Reduced, you'll get the true line of -9, which is still the highest out there currently.

That makes sense. I normally go with the reduced juice lines.

Well hell, could've gotten 4.5 1h last night but was lazy and figured there isn't really a difference between 4.5 and 5.5 if it moves...woke up and it's at 7 most places. Found the last 6.5 in town at the Mirage but had to pay -130 to get it
