On a lighter note, my brother just paid me for a bet we made 5 years ago.

He said the Rockets would win a championship in 5 years. Kevin Martin was our best player at that point. I knew he was an idiot, but it's funny that we got kinda close with a totally new team.

On a similar note, I made a bet with my friend 3 years ago that the Warriors would make it to the NBA finals within 3 years. Haven't cashed in on it yet, but soon.

You need to add Westbrook, Paul, and maybe Griffin to the guys better than Harden.

That's fine if you believe that, but Harden could have done more with OKC than Westbrook this year, and Griffin and Paul together or apart have never been this far in the playoffs.

Paul is very overrated to me. Very skilled. But he limits his team with his style of play. Too traditional of a point guard in today's NBA.

And Griffin absolutely choked last round if we are playing the choke card. Dude froze up.

That's the top 5. Some people would put Westbrook there, but Harden could have done better with that OKC team this year.

Some people, and by some people I mean most people, would have Davis over Harden. Also, they would possibly have Paul and Wesbrook over Harden. Harden isn't aggresive enough.

Paul is no more aggressive than Harden. And Westbrook is too aggressive. His inefficiency kills his team.

Gotta say, Boom has shown his colors as a complete bitch.

The second most efficient player in the league isn't efficient enough. Interesting.

He is not an efficient scorer. PER calculates a lot of things. Westbrook becomes a volume shooter too often. Harden was very clearly more valuable to his team this year, even without the crazy triple doubles. When Harden plays well, the whole team follows. Not always the case with Westbrook. I love Westbrook, but it's not a crazy opinion that Harden is a better player. Many people agree.

So Harden has not played well in any game of this WCF?

Do you think before you type?

... the first two games were won by a total of 5 points. Houston played fairly well in the first two games in Oakland before laying an egg last night.

Harden just gives off a vibe like Ray Allen to me. Everything he does is so casual and it just seems like it's a job, not a passion. I mean they will both likely be hall of famers, but teams need a fierce leader who lives and dies on every possession. It doesn't have to be your best player, but the closest the Rockets have to that is Beverly.

Amazingly, sometimes great performances are not enough against the best team in the NBA. And considering the Rockets covered the spread in both games at the Oracle when Harden played well, it's not like you can completely dismiss it.

But I realize that, unlike me, most people on this board watch a few games and form very reactionary opinions.

Are you saying Harden doesn't show emotion when he plays?

Harden is accused of complaining too much AND not showing emotion. MSB gotta cover all the bases.

Every player ever has great moments and bad moments. But the truly elite players always see their moments picked apart to fit a narrative. No matter what. It's comical.

If the team is following a guy that is putting up 38-9-10 they should be winning. Especially when the team they're facing commits 16 turnovers.
