What is up with recruiting? Supposedly you guys are losing Foster Sarrell to Stanford. What would be bigger loss Foster or Eason? How do you expect to compete with USC and Oregon without keeping up in recruiting.

USC's recruiting is looking pretty damn weak right now. UW will be fine.

If people associated with the school stop referring to it as "UDub", it would help recruiting.

Doubt it, recruiting will be a bit underwhelming this year IMO.

Stanford has been killing it on the trail this year.

If the PAC 12 locks down the top talent in California over the next 5 years and Texas continues to be open to everyone, the Big 12 schools are going to fall further and further behind

Eason was never coming here to sit behind Browning.

Foster Sarell has been enamored with Stanford for years. There's literally nothing more we could have done to possibly sway him. He's basically been a silent Stanford commit for a couple of years.

Recruiting is actually going pretty decently this year. We're only going to take 15-17, but I anticipate that our average star rating will be in the top 15 in the country.

I think the success of the Seahawks has taken the zip out of UW athletics

No one seems to give a shite about UW athletics around here. Even the UW grads in my office. It's all Seahawks all the time, Washington Football suffers.

The Washington playoff game did not do well in the ratings at all. Lots of make goods having to be sold for it - only got a 12 rating, compare that to Alabama in Birmingham that got a rating north of 40 I believe. The Rose Bowl last year between Stanford and Iowa got a higher rating here in the Seattle Market than the UW Playoff game did, as well as both 2014 playoff games.

It used to be the opposite. It's still going to take a little time to get everyone back on board. I don't think most people realize how much damage the Keith Gilbertson and Ty Willingham era did. There used to be a 10 year waiting list for UW season tickets until the athletic program went completely down the drain. Hopefully it will get back like that soon.
