There cant be anyway that someone in marketing thought jumping from one race of people to a different race of people was a good idea.

I'm all for changing the name from Redskins, but I'd rather have Redskins than Bravehearts. That sounds really gay.

Possibly a really clever troll by Snyder? Redskins were warriors who painted their faces to fight off their oppressors...

Exactly.

I've got to give some on the MSB a little credit since it took a little while before some fool started a thread.

Thanks, liberals

Oh and if the name of the Redskins, Braves, Seminoles, etc. is changed, I want the name "fighting irish" removed from Notre Dame athletics

I am Irish and find it offensive. Or maybe it doesn't work that way for a specific ethnicity, but if you change one ya gotta change em all

Why are the Native Americans (aka Indians) so pissed off about "Redskins"?

Is it that offensive?

What about the Braves, Chiefs, Warriors and Indians? Will these teams have to change names?

Redman chewing tobacco? Is there outrage about that?

How about the Washington Savages? Would that work?

The U.S. needs to quit catering to these fake arse "minorities". These people aren't offended by any of this. Nothing but a bunch of douchebag liberals claiming to be 1/16th Native American and offended. They just want to bitch at every opportunity possible. This name has existed for 80 years and now they want a name change. If the name were so offensive and they were really offended they wouldn't wait 80 years to protest.
