Was UF actually good or just have a great home-court advantage in an easy conf?

only tourney team they beat away from the O'Connell Center in the regular season: Middle Tennessee State ("neutral court" in Tampa). MTSU was a last 4 in and did not make it to the round of 64.

path to the elite 8 was a 14 seed, an 11 seed (who came in losing 4 of its last 5), and a 15 seed

tourney teams played away from home: lost to KState ("neutral court" in KC), lost at Arizona, lost at Mizzou, and lost to Ole Miss in the SEC Tourney

so their best win of the season away from the ODome was over 11 seed Minnesota in Austin

Combination of soft schedule and overachieving.

Florida might not have a single legit NBA player on the roster.

I thought we were very fortunate to get the draw that we did.

they were terrible on the road all year and dominated the SEC. they were a good team and could feast on weaker teams but struggled with top teams. this game should have been closer but i think the better team won. i know none of that is crazy insightful, but it feels really accurate.

I dont think they had great players, but Donovan is a good coach in a weak conference. He has him teams play very well as a unit when they dont have superstar power.

If he goes up against a team with star power he is just outmatched.

While I think Florida benefited from a soft schedule, this says more about Michigan. The best team in the country decided to wake up and play basketball. They've been the most underachieving team, and it looks like the flip switched.

We were not playing well at all to end the year and we lucked out to face 14/11/15 seeds to make it to the elite 8.

We played easily our worst game of the year against Michigan, though It wouldn't have mattered how well we played because Michigan is more talented than us and that polack couldn't miss.

That being said, we were probably playing better than anyone in the country up until february.. not that its anything to brag about

It seemed like the consensus when the tourney started was that UF would cake walk to the 8's, but once they faced a decent team, they would get bounced.

It's hard to say an Elite 8 team was overrated regardless of how easy the road was. Beating a double-digit seed might sound easy, but Georgetown and UCLA both failed to do it.

Yea, youre right. And I think thats cuz they are young. I have them in the ship against Duke, but dunno if they are experienced enough yet to win
