#1 overall, UCLA, was beaten by Maryland in their regional. UVA won the UCSB regional and met up with Maryland in the Supers.

Kirby-1st Round Competitive Balance (40 Overall) Sborz(Tourney MVP)-2nd Round Competitive Balance (74 Overall) Waddell-5th Round (157 Overall) Seems like pretty solid pitching to me, and as tzimm said, Kirby came back from injury last week.

They kept saying this last night, but is the ACCT really a triple elimination format?

Their ERA was 2.87 over the course of the Regionals, Supers, and CWS. Nearly half of their 38 earned runs were given up in two games. One of which they actually won.

I didn't keep up with the cws much this year. Were there many home runs hit?

They had tons of injuries all year.

They had to dip into their club team at some point.

Still no excuse for LSU not finding that 3rd starter, maybe Parker Bugg could have been a starter

right. vandy scored 2 runs total in the last 2 games.

I think I understand what you're doing and you have a point. after all, TCU only scored, what, 17 runs in two games against us.

we didn't pitch well (sans Lange), hit well nor play defense well enough to win that tournament. it happens.
