Saturday night was a special night for Texas Rangers great Michael Young. The 14-year major leaguer, who accumulated 2,230 of his 2,375 career hits in a Texas uniform before retiring in 2013, was inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame in a pre-game ceremony.

Seriously, it was special. And maybe for a split second a little scary too. That’s because prankster Elvis Andrus was on hand to wreak some havoc on his former double play partner, whom he’s aware is not a fan of clowns or masks.

As the Rangers drove Young and his family around the warning track for a victory lap of sorts, Andrus approached and then lunged toward the truck while wearing a Jigsaw mask. Needless to say, it worked. Not realizing what was going on or who was under the mask, Young went into protective father mode by leaping to his feet, balling up his fist and nearly socking Andrus in his fake rubber face.
