I was watching the Stanford game with a friend of mine who was getting on the Cradinal pretty good about not being able to put away SC because of all of the horrible sanctions they are currently under. I was under the impression that the scholarship sanctions kick in this year and they signed a ridiculous number of scholarship players recently. Am I wrong?

This is the first year that they can only sign 15. They signed an awesome class in February. You probably won't start seeing the effects for a couple of years.

Thank you gentlemen, this is what I thought but the guy I was with is actually pretty knowledgable and I like him, so I let him have his rant. I was 99% sure that they get hit this year.

They actually have 5 early enrollee spots from last year's class so they can potentially bring in a class of 20. SC will have a chance to be pretty good the next two years but after that it will get very hard.
The toughest part about the sanctions is the 75 scholarship limit. We will have to hope and pray that have the team can stay healthy otherwise if guys start to go down things can get very ugly
