Details!

quote:

Australia will finish off their preparations for this year’s IRB Rugby World Cup with a brief tour of the United States, featuring a one-off test against the Americans in Chicago.

quote:

North America is one of rugby’s fastest growth regions. Playing numbers have been steadily increasing in recent years and are forecast to grow even quicker when rugby sevens is introduced to the Olympic programme in Rio next year.

quote:

Both Canada and the U.S. have been awarded tournaments on next season’s World Sevens series and have begun talks about a possible joint bid to stage the 15-a-side World Cup, in either 2023 or 2027.

Spectacular!

Yeah when you include the warm up matches with the world cup itself it will make for basically almost 3 months of solid international rugby action!

This board should prepare itself for see lots of Rugby talk.

I'm hoping rugby talk will get big enough on here to annoy the jackass MSBers who used to get all butthurt over soccer threads before that board got started.

That would be a true sign that Rugby has arrived here in America.

My brother is an Captain of a boat out in international waters, and on his off time he's working on his pilots license. I told him to hurry and be a pilot so he can fly us to Chicago in his buddy's plane!!

I guess it's going to be broadcast on one if the NBC stations, but it doesn't give a time.
