Looks like 1st round coverage starts tomorrow at 12pm on ESPN2.

Obviously im pulling for Rafa. Johnny Mac gave his vote to Murray earlier which surprised me.

He is running out of time. Just give me a great effort and make the semis.

Djokovic has to be the heavy favorite as long as his shoulder is alright.

Roddick actually has a pretty favorable draw. He should make the 4th round where he'll likely face Ferrer. I could see him picking up some steam and making the quarters

It's Djokovic's era now. He's the best player in the world and he'll prove it in Flushing Meadows. Hard court is his best surface and I don't see anybody beating him in the U.S. Open.

I agree. If Novak's shoulder can hold up it will be hard to take him out. Hes already gotten in Rafas head which is half the battle

No different than PED's, but different thread I guess.

I haven't been impressed with Roddick at all during the Olympus US open series. An exhausted Isner took him out in two sets a few days ago and he had that loss to Kohl 2 or 3 weeks, although that was he's first game since the injury.

I'm interested in seeing how Fish (one of the hottest players right now), Nadal (didn't perform well in both Masters), Djokovic and Murray (can he finally do it) perform each for a different reason.

Not too many interesting match-ups today except maybe on the women side. Gasquet-Stakhovsky, Kohl-Stepanek and Harrison-Cilic seem like the most intriguing ones . I would throw in Gonzalez-Karlovic, but man Nando has played like shite lately and HC isn't really his forte.

ETA: Monday's OOP

Yeah Harrison played fairly well, even had a set point there but Cilic won the most important points and that was the difference.

Fish just played a great game (save the opening game when he got broken), so great that he even included the between-the-legs shot there in the third

If Mrs. Pwejr gets ousted in the 1st Round, I might need to be on suicide watch. She (Maria) is down a set and an early break in the second.

I have faith though.

WOW Pova needs to get it together.

Also our Wimby champ 5th-seeded Kvitova got ousted in straight. We always have these early crazy upsets on the women's side.

Have you read his new book, its pretty good. I've read bits of it. He should be able to cruise to the quarters if he has his head on straight.
