uno is trying to get a football team?

is this true? i haven't heard anything about this until my son enrolled into uno , he told me this . if so wouldn't it be great if they wound up better than tulane.

yeah, they played some kind of scrimmage last year

They're just a club team right now. I'm sure they would love to move up eventually but football is a very expensive sport for any university to support.

They had a club team last year and will again this year. With the Hicks money coming in pretty soon - I see UNO in the Sunbelt in 4 years or so.
