Stuart Z. Grossman, the attorney for Miami coach Jim Larranaga, told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel: "Please be assured that our beloved coach is unaware of any impropriety on the part of UM basketball and does not know the identity of [the] unnamed, unidentified 'Coach-3.' He looks forward to leading the Hurricanes to continued success."

That "beloved coach" part made me laugh.

Nevins Shapiro is rolling over in his grave right now upon hearing that Miami could be caught up in trouble. This is like saying their are prostitutes in whorehouses which we all know is untrue.

There are just so many evil, crooked assistants out there.

Is there no individual our beloved, innocent head coaches can trust during these trying times?

HC's know who their assistants are recruiting. They make not want to "be aware" of all the methods being used to get the players to their program, but they're complicit as long as the player signs.

To think the HC's at these schools don't know how the game is played is extremely naive. I do think they purposely try to stay enough "in the dark" though to claim plausible deniability
