That's a bit much considering the circumstances, don't you think?

Is this where you blame Roy Williams for LSU's "downfall"?

Funny that nobody wants to make Daddy Dale and Johnny Jones take some responsibility for paying players.

Remorse for what? Murder, arson, genocide... Because that's how several people here are acting. I would write it off as a troll but some legit butthurt going on here.

They've taken responsibility and the downfall for a booster paying a player. Lester Earl confessed to lying and was pressured (thanks Roy!)

Waiting for Roy to get his for the UNC complete lack of control.

He's a shitty and dirty person

Helping diminish and ruin the reputation and career of a great man while manipulating 18 year olds to lie.

You're right, there was nothing wrong with the Lester Earl situation and Roy Williams has been nothing but a class act throughout his career. He's always run a clean program: see UNCs commitment to their athlete's academic excellence.

Oh, now that you put it that way, sudden death is warranted and should be celebrated by the masses.

If you get that mad over Roy, you wouldn't make it a day as an Auburn fan in state of Alabama over the last 8 years, where players in crimson live very well, and don't hide it. (Not to derail).

Where did I say that?

Like Cam Newton? I'm not sure what the point of that statement is. He actually got our program in trouble by having a kid lie.

It's not like I compared losing a basketball game to the earthquake in Haiti (oh wait, that was Roy Williams)

Roy Williams who had a guy thrown out of a game for saying "don't miss" during a FT attempt

quote:

"I don't think anybody should yell anything negative at our players. Period. Let's don't make it a bigger thing than it is. But I just don't think anybody should yell negative things toward our players (when) you come in on our tickets to watch our game.

You aren't going to get much sympathy on an LSU board when he helped frick over our program and HoF coach

frick Roy Williams

Dale Brown and Johnny Jones did that all on their own by paying Lester Earl to come to, and play at LSU.

You should actually know what you're talking about before trying to debate it.

And that still wouldn't excuse Roy's role even if it were true

A Hall of Fame coach (and great guy) who knew about, and allowed his assistant to pay a player to come to and play at LSU.

"The NCAA found no evidence that Brown or his assistant paid Earl."

Like I said, you're clueless

Let me help you out:

quote:

Brown and Jones, who was initially alleged to have given Earl $6,600, were cleared of all violations. Still, Earl in his letter felt they both deserved an apology. "I feel sorriest for hurting coach Dale Brown," Earl wrote. "Coach Brown, I apologize to you for tarnishing your magnificent career at LSU. The second apology I owe most is to coach Johnny Jones. Coach Jones, I never imagined you would have suffered so much because of the few supposed 'little things' I told the NCAA that you did."

Help me out where it's documented from the NCAA that Earl was pressured and instructed by Roy Williams to lie to the NCAA.

How about you Google the circumstances around the situation yourself and quit talking out your arse?

Keep that head firmly buried. Roy's a Saint. He's running a clean program at UNC /s
