Tech is a friggin disgrace. Your team isnt great...you are not a brand name team with a following. You are actually Less name recognized this year than ULM. Rejecting a bid confirms what everybody already knew....you are scared. Period. Never seen such pseudo-elitest pussyism out of any group in my life. Pathetic.

And honestly, here was Tech's chance to shut all the ULM fans up for awhile. Just Tech

I can really give a single frick what ULM fans think about Tech. Used to be a rivalry back in Div 2, we haven't played since 90's. You can't blame Tech for not wanting to play in IBowl again. hell we just played TAMU there less than 2 months ago. Honestly I'm glad that ULM can play there...good for them.

Most of us knew tech turned down the invite as soon as it was offered to us a week or two ago ... Our decision has nothing to do with ULM getting offered the Indy bowl. Wanting to go to a better bowl doesn't make us scared or pussies.

Why? It would be a great atmosphere and a game that matched two good offenses together. Why would ULM/tech not want to play a former rival in a packed house. It would rile up the base and be huge in the recruiting battle. If ULM continues to be good, it will hurt tech recruiting right? Why not have a chance to end it now?

Edit: Its more weird to me that tech goes out of their way not to play a natural opponent. Even, Florida and Notre Dame eventually played University of Miami again..

ULM has a weird fascination with us this year that's for sure. If you go and read the Indy bowl Facebook it's full of ULM fans begging to play us.

Because we have a chance to go to a bigger bowl and play a better known team. Nothing against ULM personally but if there's a chance to play a bigger bowl, were going to take it.

Imean is this even true? Heart of Dallas bowl further trip, same payout, bigten #7/ big 12 team.

Liberty bowl, further trip, 300k increase v Tulsa

Are these really better options? than playing against a natural rival, closer game, and equal or near equal payout

You have a chance to go to no bowl asshat. Dont try to deflect this from what it is. Fear. Pure and simple.

Jonesboro is an hour away from Memphis. I'm almost certain the Liberty Bowl will take Arkansas State.

Those of you saying Tech turned down the I-Bowl last week or on Monday are stating an outright lie. The Tech AD was asking for the I-Bowl as late as Thursday night. This is a fact.
