Warhawks sweep the Cajuns this year. Richard doing work in Monroe after taking over a complete disaster of a program a few years ago.

Y'all had a big crowd? That's pretty cool. I went a few years back and I really couldn't envision a good atmosphere. The crowd seems so far away from the court.

It was decent. 4-5k maybe (that might be way off I don't know really). They had to pull the tarp back on a few of the upper sections.

It really just depends where you sit. By the baselines you're pretty close but the sidelines are far.

Whoever thought that shorty circle design was a good idea is a complete idiot though.

It was built in 1971. ULM has talked to the city of Monroe about building a new civic arena and call it ULM's home court. Don't know what will come of it but it is time for something to change.

Must be a North Louisiana thing because we have the same problem in Natchitoches. Prather is a really horrible venue. Luckily the ones in charge at NSU have done a really good job dressing that place up and making it decent but NSU definitely needs a new venue.

I've enoyed a few visits to Prather but the layout is nothing short of idiotic.

They originally built it to have the ability to have livestock and rodeos in the arena which is why its such a strange design. Also used to have an indoor track in it as well.

Its much better now that they moved the court to the far end and does have a pretty good atmosphere for most games. With some remodeling it could be a great venue.

I've also thought it would be much better if they could somehow close off the arena behind the student section.

It is pretty impressive how much they have cleaned up the place since the late 90's. The locker rooms are very nice.

Back in the day when the Indians were owning the Southland and going to the Dance every year Fant-Ewing was an awesome atmosphere. The layout of the place is certainly not ideal, but it's not that bad. Just don't sit at half court.

Talons out, bitches
