So they'll probably just hold of the construction until next year (if ever) right? If they somehow got the funds and started now, no way they'll be done anytime near the start of the season.

I have full confidence that the administration will choose the path of the worst possible outcome.

I know they got 3 mil from the Russo family. you are telling me that's all they got?

Supposedly the Russo money was to be donated in 5 annual payments.

Just my perspective - don't assume malice when basic, garden variety incompetence is the answer.

Still sounds like a freaking mess though.

Yeah, I don't believe there's any corruption. I think it's just an incompetent AD who supposedly lied to the faces of people who were willing to throw up some big money.

The money donated is from a family trust. Not involved with the business mess.

Russo of Stabildrill in deep shite

I'd imagine everything going down with Russo is the main reason why this whole renovation is at a standstill. The guy is a straight up crook and will be looking at time in prison most likely

Unless the allegations are true and some of that money ended up in the family trust.
Or if the allegations are true and he doesn't have enough to pay the damages.....there will be investigations into where his assets went.

It's not about the investigation. I wish it was, at least there would be a reason that this whole thing is fricked so far.

Silent fundraising is Scott Farmer for "we ain't doing shite"

Dude lied to donors, lied to Robichaux, lied to Savoie, etc. then took a fricking vacation to Alaska for a while right at the time he told everyone they'd be starting construction. I have no idea how he has a job.

The money would have been from his father, not himself though. I think that makes it pretty safe.

Savoie taking Cris Carter's advice and keeping a fall guy around.

Now Walker said that he expects to be sitting at the new renovated Tigue by the start of the season. Is that even possible?

It's Louisiana; of course there's going to be some form of corruption.

Not at all, Scott Farmer has fricked this project up for the 2nd time. He then threw his two main fund raisers under the bus in front of the RCAF board members. Even though he was the front man.

The 1st time he fricked it up, he failed to secure a $10 million donation in a timely manner from the guy who just passed away that was a partial owner of the Texans. He sat on the pledge long enough to have the donor get swindled by Madhof.

He's only $5 mill of the $17 mill cost. My guess is that they have the pledges but not all the cash, and have to figure how to handle that. I guess they could float a LPFA loan or something, secured by the pledges.
