Seems like more ULL fans than Rice fans even though in Houston

Rice is a small public school. Louisiana isn't and Lafayette isn't that far away.

and yea, you are right.

they are too small to have a large alumni base which severely limits the ability to create new fans.

That's probably not accurate. But there is a loarge contingent of Louisiana ex-pats in Houston. So some of those may be out there pulling for the Cajuns.

This is correct especially considering the close ties with the oil/ gas industry.
