Well get ready Nate by triangle choke in the 2nd round.

I hope he does, Nate is one of my favorite fighters, but I just don't see it ending via sub.

What yall think of Rousey headling 157? She is hot as hell, but I'm not sure she deserves main event status yet. I know why its being done, but not deserving. Especially over the likes of Fabre and Henderson/Machida fight

Absolute bullshite IMO

First of all, she should have to fight for the title. Simply giving the belt to her at some press conference is horseshite.....idgaf about Strikeforce.

Secondly, even if title fights are usually given ME status, there's no way the Hendo/Machida fight should get bumped for this. Ridiculous that a FOTY candidate gets demoted and will only be 3 rounds now.....especially after Hendo's last 5 round fight.

I don't know wtf the UFC is doing, but they're fricking up

Looks like Hendo is getting the shaft.

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief For the second straight Fox event, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua may be fighting for a title shot in the light heavyweight division. Or he might not be. That's the admittedly wobbly word from UFC President Dana White, who said on Thursday that the Shogun-Alexander Gustafsson fight is likely to provide the next challenger in the light heavyweight division. Unless it doesn't. "Look at the fights that Shogun has had in his past two or three fights," White said (transcribed by MMAFighting.com). "There's no doubt about it, he is the gatekeeper right now to that title. So, if Alexander can beat Shogun, he'd get the shot. Shogun wins, he gets it. Unless there's some crazy s*** that happens, which always does." The other fight that will try to make a claim for a title shot is between Dan Henderson and Lyoto Machida in February, but neither fighter is in the UFC President's good graces after August and September. The two months saw Henderson go down with a knee injury that led to UFC 151 being canceled, and Machida turn down two different dates for a fight with Jon Jones.

If both Shogun & Hendo win their next fight & Shogun gets the next title fight.........I won't be surprised with all the bullshite they've been pulling lately. Dana holds grudges and lets it affect this sport

Why give a fight that is mandated as 5 rounds main event status and another worthy main event the chance to be a highly contested 3 round fight that could leave more to be desired?

Lmao knocked himself out.

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief Just hours before weigh-ins for UFC on Fox 5, the card has gotten another shakeup. UFC President Dana White revealed on Twitter that Tim Means has been forced out of the card, and Marcus LeVesseur will now step in to fight Abel Trujillo tomorrow night. "The UFC curse strikes again," White wrote on Twitter. "Tim Means slips in sauna and KO's himself so now Marcus LeVesseur vs Abel Trujillo." LeVesseur was initially expected to meet Michael Chiesa on tomorrow's card, but Chiesa pulled out earlier this week due to illness. As he was preparing to fight this week anyway, the UFC has called on him to step in a few hours before the weigh-ins today.

Gameday bump......so pumped for this whole card. Even the prelims & the Facebook fight are gonna be great.

And I take back what I said earlier about Benson being too big for Nate.

Shogun & BJ both look like they've been training pretty hard lately. Good to see another mma fan on here, we don't have enough posting

I keep going over these fights & can't remember such an evenly balanced, high level talent main card in a long time......possibly ever. BJ is the only one I think will lose (only b/c of the size disadvantage), but I'd never bet against him.

I think Rory is overconfident and will get caught with one of these.
