That makes it seem a lot worse than it was actually was.
They got bounced from a party, we're so losers, so they fought (college kids fighting? OMG!), and to add insult to injury, took their beers.
1-2 suspension IMO and nothing more. Maybe some school student conduct policy violation.
But this probably happens every week at colleges around the country

Not only that - they waited a day to call the police. ETA: They waited a day to press charges.
Players walked away with beer that wasn't theirs (frat guys shoulda called the cops at that point if it were that big a deal)...were followed and confronted...and a fight ensued. Minor injuries to one guy.
