Bauer isn't a lock for the spot, given that the team has an off-day Monday and could just skip the fifth starter if they wanted to. But this puts Bauer in position to take the start if they opt to go that route.

Why wouldn't they go that route.. I really would like to see his debut.

Picked him in fantasy this morning.

Hopefully he sucks against the braves and then dominates

Me Too. Hopefully he can make up for Beachy being hurt and I can fill that spot on my roster.

Hopefully he fares as well as he did against the Mississippi Braves in Mobile

Bauer is no Beachy. He has filthy stuff but needs a lot of work with his control. Expect your whip to take a hit.

He's just saying Beachy was better this year than Bauer will be this year

Thanks Whitie. I'm not saying Bauer won't be good. He just isn't going to be Beachy good, yet. Beachy was way more polished. Bauer is averaging 4.5 walks per 9 innings in the minors.
