i know, and no one really wants to lump the students, professors, etc in with them.. but damn, that report indicates widespread knowledge of these things throughout the University.
its just disgusting, and while its probably an overreaction and wrong to use those words to describe your university, i cant muster any sympathy for your university right after reading that.

After reading that, I don't know how it's possible, unless you're a pedophile yourself, to defend Joe Pa or anybody in that administration. He was caught what? 3 times ON CAMPUS engaging in some sort of sexual acts with children, twice oral sex, once sodomy, and NOTHING happened. Un-fricking-believable

Trust me when I say I'm ashamed at what I've read and what appears to be a cover up. There's a line in the PSU alma mater that says "May no act of ours bring shame.", well these people involved have brought shame on the school, themselves, and those poor kids who have to live forever as victims.

Sadly, I think you are correct.
If he was told of this and did nothing but 'report up' then he failed his duty.
I have loved Paterno all my life - he has been my 'second favorite' coach forever. I liked the way he ran his program and his character.
This is certainly an aberration from his normal behavior (I hope) but it is serious enough that he should apologize for his negligence and retire immediately.
And should be the first to demand Sandusky's nuts on an anvil.
