When talking about the Patriots electing to kick:

"I don't really have any problem with it. Play good defense and get the ball back."

Lol, one of the bigger clowns the NFL has ever had leading one of its franchises.

He turned Tampa Bay into a consistent winner and won 76% of his games while at Indy. That Tampa team that won the Super Bowl in 2002-03 was his.

I see the argument. Get the ball second so you only need a field goal.

I do too. The Jets had run 15 offensive plays for 33 yards in the 4th quarter. Plus there is something to be said for knowing exactly what you have to get when you get possession - a FG to tie/win or a TD to win.

However, the Patriots had just gone 66 yards for the game tying TD on their last real possession so I fully believe kicking off was the wrong calm there. Take your momentum and run with it IMO.

The patriots strategy was stupid considering they have tom brady on their team, but calling Dungy a joke of a coach is an indefensible argument

You're an idiot and probably don't like him because he's black.

No, it is not. Why does Manning get so much flax for playoff failures but Dungy gets a pass? Plus Indy defense always sucked under Dungy who is supposed to be a defensive coach. Monty Kiffen built the Tampa 2 scheme, Dungy just gets the credit.

That Tampa Bay team was his the years before but he consistently choked every time. That was Grudens team, i.e. They showed up and played and won the big game. Dungy was lucky to win that Super Bowl with the Colts. They choked a lot there too.

Aren't the Pats locked in to their seed, but the Jets win would help knock out Pittsburgh?

Yeah I'm sure Bill figured out at crunch time he wanted to tank to avoid the team that just lost to the Ryan Mallet led Ravens.

Or you could kick a field goal and stop them on defense anyways... at least that way you have a chance to end the game first.

Playing defense first makes zero sense.

New England has the 7th ranked defense in the league. I don't think it was a big mistake at all. They also have the 4th highest producing offense in the league.

That Super Bowl was a result of them finally getting a competent HC who could take advantage of their loaded roster.
