I don't care what the semantics argument is for or against mettenberger's ceiling or future potential is, you don't pass up a franchise qb at the top of a draft when you have a losing franchise and your other guy hasn't won you a game yet.

But you also compared two different eras and two different styles of offense.

maybe but a team can't chance passing on the next better russel wilson bc they had a ryan mallet or matt cassel on roster.

No you can. The problem is your argument hinges on the assumption that those 6 games for Mett will translate to a career in the form of Brady's, Manning's, etc.
Which is a HUGE frickin assumption you drooling idiot.
I watched him last year. Every snap of every game. In no way, shape, or form did I or anybody else see visions of a young Brady or Manning.

'A very good rookie year' does not equal a comparison to Brady or Manning's rookie stats.
Sweet backpedal.

Brady played in 1 game his rookie season.
And was a pro bowler and Super Bowl MVP in his first year as a starter.

Can someone please explain to me why ZM7 is being mentioned in the same breath as Manning & Brady?

i guess there's the chance but there's going to be less opportunity for him. most likely if he leaves titans or traded, he's obviously going to a bad team again. maybe with the pressure being off of him, its allowing him to get better more so than if he had the pressure. if that makes any sense.

Because this idiot think Metts rookie year was really good and is grabbing at straws.
Brady didn't start until his second year. He was a Pro Bowler and Super Bowl MVP.
But "Mett was better!"
No he wasn't. STFU

No we see it. You're just doing it very poorly.

Bradys first 3 years as a starter:
QB rating of 86, 85, 86
Once again, that does not mean I think Mett will be as good as Brady or Manning. However, it means that it makes sense to be excited about how he performed as a rookie. That should not be a hard concept to grasp

When you look at Metts rookie numbers, and they compare to guys like Luck, Manning, and Brady, it makes sense for one to think Mett has a chance to be a good QB in the NFL. That shouldnt make you angry or assume that I am saying he will one day be better than any of those Qbs

Yep, I'm officially done.
