Knowing Wisconsin will face a dynamic offense in the Outback Bowl, Dave Aranda appears to be determined to shore up a unit that surrendered 59 points and 558 yards in the loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten title game.

Aranda, in his second season as UW’s defensive coordinator, had quarterback Tanner McEvoy working at linebacker/safety with the No. 1 defense Thursday.

“I’ll be going both ways,” McEvoy said. “At the end of practice I had my normal QB package."

Tanner McEvoy is the sole reason LSU does not have a 5th loss.

And Jennings is probably the sole reason LSU doesn't have fewer than 2 losses

Jennings at least does enough for his team to win. McEvoy's throws made it seem like there was a hole in the ball.

Melvin Gordon didn't get hurt, they just inexplicably stopped giving him the ball in the 2nd half.

I like the idea of two-way players in certain circumstances, but I doubt McEvoy will be very effective vs. Auburn's explosive Offense.

Remember when Saban had Michael Clayton playing Defense vs. Texas in the 2003 Cotton Bowl? That's the last two-way player I can remember at LSU. I may be forgetting someone, though.
