For sure, helps to finally not play a pretty high powered offense with such a new secondary.

The Raiders will win most games when their top 4 grades on D are the secondary, and those guys are good players.

quote:

Top defensive grades:

CB David Amerson, 97.9
CB Sean Smith, 90.2
S Reggie Nelson, 85.1
S Karl Joseph, 82.5
ED Khalil Mack, 77.7

Mack is not as good in coverage as Mosley. That's why I said all-around.

Not sure what is going on with Mack. I think he got a little overrated after 2015 (most of his 15 sacks came in like 3 games against terrible OL and he was basically invisible for half of the season).

Donald though, not sure. I can tell you for sure that from just casually watching several of their 2015 games that he is no joke. The dude is ridiculously talented and is probably the best DL in the NFL.

Khalil Mack plays defensive end 99% of the time.

Why would anyone drop him into coverage when he's such a great pass rusher?

I'm just saying I'd rather have a LB play LB. I think the Chiefs ruined Derrick Thomas by making him a defensive end and many analysts have agreed. I never said one bad thing about Mack. If you don't think Moseley is good though then you're a moron.

When did anyone say that?

Khalil Mack > CJ Mosley

Pass rushers are more valuable than inside linebackers.

Who has said that? Is this what they call a strawman?

I just couldn't tell if your Auburn bias was showing or not. I love pass rushers but I'd rather if I'm drafting a LB have him stay at LB, rush, and play in coverage. And only on occasion put him at DE for a change up. So it's really just a difference of football philosophy. To me fast LBs are like super safeties and give your D more options. Others may disagree and that's fine.

I've never seen CJ Moseley dominate a game like Khalil Mack did to the Broncos last year.

I like CJ Mosley and wanted Denver to draft him a few years back.

Don't remind me.

Michael Schofield got thrown around like a rag doll.

Yeah see I'm the opposite, I want an elite pass rusher and I want him on the edge for just about every snap, especially if he is incredibly good vs the run as well.

I prefer the new age style of a nickel package using an extra safety as a hybrid LB/DB, which is what the Raiders run.

Mosley had 133 tackles in 2014 and 117 last year.

Mack has 166 in his career. I know defensive ends don't get as many. Mosley is great.

I haven't either.

Mack reminds me of LT who was a boss!

NFL teams disagree with you on pass rusher value vs inside LB value. Just look at their contracts. There is a substantial discrepancy.

Dominant pass rushers change the way the game is played. Much more so than inside LBs.

I wouldn't argue with that. I'm just talking about my own personal preference. Mack is awesome, but I really wanted Oakland to take Mosley. But I'm glad they are both playing well and both teams are happy to have their guy.
