Thoughts on the 30 second shot clock thus far in the NIT?

Definitely a faster pace. I feel bad for fans of teams with shitty offenses. That Wyoming-SDSU game the other day probably would've resembled a football game score

Approve? Disapprove?

It's a noticeable improvement. I think 30 is perfect for college. I've seen people throw around 28 and I think that would be too quick.

Aren't they also using the 4 foot arc?

They should also widen the lane and add defensive 3 seconds like the NBA.

It's going to make it harder on offenses if they reduce the shot clock and don't open the lane up a bit.

Approve. I'd like them to extend the 3 to the NBA length also.

I like it also. It definitely helps a team that already plays up tempo. I didn't notice it bothering Tech or Central Mich. much yesterday. Early in the game Tech had a shot clock violation but besides that I didn't notice any kind of problems. I think it made the game better to watch.

Absolutely not.

Loved it in the Illinois State vs Green Bay game. Looked to affect Green Bay more. Both teams got into their sets quicker. Hope the change sticks for next year.

They needed to. But giving these coaches 3-4 days to prepare for it was dumb.

I think a 30 second shot clock would help teams like LSU. Getting into an offensive set quicker forces the action.

LSU plays at the 13th fastest tempo in the nation. I don't think they have any problems getting shots up early in the shot clock

My bad. You are correct. It just seems to me when I watch them, they pass the ball around the perimeter until the clock winds down and then they jack up a shot. Obviously, that's not all the time, and when they are clickin' and hittin', then they are definitely moving up tempo.

Would like to see it implemented across the board.

Is there any chance this could be in effect next year, or is it too late for that?

If the commentators during the Alabama/Illinois game were correct they are considering it for next season.

I went to the ULM game tonight (CBI tourney) and they are using the same

it was absolutely an improvement. I loved it. Whole NCAA needs to go with it next year
