Pretty interesting stat. When you look at the league, who's really on the Hot Seat. Only guys I'm looking at are Steve Clifford (but his contract was extended last year), Alvin Gentry, or maybe a Earl Watson (but he was hired just last season and organization has "embraced the tank")

Spo was great this year. I'll be the first to admit, when he got the job and was killing it with LBJ down there I was one of those guys saying he was just riding the coat tails of 2 future HOF. But I was dead wrong, he's one of the better coaches in the league.

Impressive to make it to where he is after starting out as the film editor or whatever it was.

He was a video coordinator. Video coordinators break down film for the team. They know basketball. They aren't just some guy messing around in a video editing program.

Several NBA head coaches were video coordinators at one time like Mike Budenholzer and Mike Brown. And many more have become assistant coaches.

Fizdale and Spo used to work together in the Heat's video room. They basically lived there apparently.

Those guys put in a ton of work at the college level.

The advance scouts that sit behind the bench work hard too.

I always find it curious-- why does anyone think that there were only 2 no-doubt HOFers on those Heat teams?

I mean, LBJ could have retired years ago and made it; Wade is arguably one of the Top 5 or so SGs in NBA history; Bosch was already a borderline case before he went to Miami. Ray Allen is a no-doubter.
