The Reason Lebron isn't Legoat

The Cavs looked absolutely pathetic down the stretch last night, no one is arguing that. Let's talk about why. Lebron gets so much credit for "dragging" a team of "misfits" to the finals for a 3rd straight year and he is crowned as the greatest for doing so. The problem is that he doesn't lift the level of play around him. That is the true, core characteristic of someone being the greatest in a team sport. All greats do it. Brady, Gretzky, Jordan, Montana, Jeter, Bird and so on. They can get the absolute best out of their surrounding casts when the game is on the line, when it truly means something. The Cavs seem to be totally dependent on Lebron and the seem so helpless without him on the floor that it is pathetic. Great leader lift the followers up so that they can help themselves succeed. Flame away, fan boys.
ETA: Also, Lebron is nothing more than a 6'8, 250lb freak of nature athlete that has speed, power and hops. He is far more physically dominating which allows him to outplay people on a nightly basis. Add in the skills that he has and you get what you see, but he doesn't have the mental edge that is required to be the GOAT.

So your argument is that because guys are missing open looks it's Lebron's fault, even though he has been very efficient with his own shooting this series?

Keep the hot takes coming MSB.

Maybe let's take a step back from the GOAT talks and just talk about his awesome game?
I've never seen a player consistently come under such scrutiny despite putting up great performances.

He can't make Kyle Korver make open 3s.

He was probably super tired and you can't blame him for that. Also, when you rely on Kyrie hero ball, things are going to go bad at times. The only legitimate criticism I have had heard of LeBron is that maybe he needs to go in the post more. But, I know his FG% is good, so even that is a stretch.

He's too passive at the end. Why isn't tGOAT not trying to ice the game instead of taking a back seat? No one is stopping him if he drives to the lane.

So Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, mchale, and Parrish were only good because Bird and Jordan made them good? Give me a frickin break!
This board is a shite show every year during the final with dumbass hot takes like this
It's worse than the Poliboard and Tiger Rant when LSU loses

Cleveland just isn't playing their best basketball collectively right now. While some of that is what Golden State has done, a lot of is not. Cleveland gets lax at times on defense and when GS is in their small ball lineup they push it and with their length it's an easy bucket. TT has been completely non-existent and is allowing Golden State when they do miss to get east putbacks. Korver and Smith have shot horrifically this series, though JR did get going some last night. Kyrie and Love haven't scored consistently in the same game. Deron Williams is playing like the guy at the rec who is trying to impersonate Kyrie's hero ball but only looks like a flailing idiot missing bad shots and turning it over. LeBron stops going inside late when that is a key reason they had the lead. It's just been collectively a bad performance while the Warriors have played very well. Lebron has played well, though not perfect, but against this Warriors team it's just not enough for Lebron and X to score when the Warriors are either getting scoring from KD, Curry, and Klay or a combination of two of the three plus their bench.
Cleveland has shown the ability these playoffs to beat this Warriors team if they get some of their role players going. If Cleveland can rattle off these next two things will get very interesting. A Game 6 in Cleveland considering how KD's season ended and how the Warriors season ended last year could see Curry and KD shrivel up again. I don't think it happens as I had GS in 5 when the series started, but it would be very interesting to watch if Cleveland can get their shite together.

You don't remember all those playoff runs by Kyrie in Cleveland and Love in Minny before they started carrying Lebron?

Let's be real, Lebron could get swept and walk away from the game forever and he is without question the #2 player of all time.

He's too passive. The end of the game last night was a great example.
Kyrie is their most clutch player when it counts.
