The real loser in the Sergio Dipp Debacle was Beth Mowins

This should have been her night. She spent many years perfecting her craft and finally got her moment in the spotlight only to be overshadowed by the obviously not ready for English language Prime Time, Sergio Dipp.
I thought she did a great job as per usual. I feel her description of the game is clear and concise. Her voice is pleasant to the ear w/o coming across smug (looking at u Joe Buck) and she can bring the emotion when the play dictates. She also did a great job calling the game with a buffoon as her booth mate. She earned her spot in the booth and she should be the one getting the recognition. Sergio did not earn the spot but was merely interjected to fill a quota.
Shame on ESPN for putting a person on an English national broadcast who had no reason to be there. IMO, this hurts the persuit for a more "diverse" broadcasting group bc people will think that Sergio Dipp is one of the best bilingual sideline reporter out there. In addition, people could lump Mowins in with him bc of this which is down right wrong.

So, you're saying she had the time of her life ?

I thought his diversity was diversely diverse in a diversified kind of way that took into account his diversification. Didn't notice the chick . Cause turned it off .

im with you. im not a fan of her voice, but she was well-prepared and had substantive input.
this. a monumental achievement, indeed.

I've never had a problem with Mowins. She's a lot better than most PXP folks. But I'll always associate her with those 11 a.m. Big Ten kickoffs, usually a shite matchup of like Illinois vs. Minnesota or something

She is on TV so her main job is to be clear with the names and numbers and not overly dramatize the broadcast bc we can see what is going on.
I hate listening to the smug voices of the Joe Bucks of the broadcasting world who think they bring more to the table than just a guy describing the play of a televised sporting event.

That always seems like a reasonable compromise to me.
Win-Win all-around.
But ... per usual ... ESPN had to go and frick it all up.

Her die versetee really helped her last night.

Preachy and overly dramatic play by play folks really bother me. I find she just calls the game and keeps it simple.
TV PBP people should just be complimentary to your viewing bc the viewer can actually see what is happening.

I stopped reading here.
She's not bad at her job, but her voice is just unlistenable.

Ugh, it is so frustrating to me all of you morons need to virtue signal. She was below average, and it's utter sexism to say someone was good just because she's a woman.

She is good at her job.
Its going to take a while for me to get used to a woman calling a football game. Its not that I'm sexist really, its just that it will take some time.
She did really well though.

I bet you think Tirico and Michaels are terrible also.
Tirico I will agree with, Al not so much.

I am the last guy who would do that, trust me, and I thought she was very clear, knew her shite, had solid input, and seemed comfortable leading the broadcast.
Her voice just doesn't sound right on the ears. It had nothing to do with content.

How the hell did she pull off calling a game with Rex Ryan who was non-existent? Like Rex really didn't want to say a word

Rex isn't meant for censored, PC television. I don't think he knows how to speak like that.
He needs to be cursing on Showtime's Inside the NFL or something.

Many people are only upset because she's a woman. But they have no problem with the rest of the PBP guys, who mostly got their jobs because
1. Their daddy was a broadcaster
2. They went to Syracuse
3. They grew up somewhere between New York City and Boston
